Cesaltina Pires
Associate Professor at University of Évora

Cesaltina Pires has a degree in Economics by University Nova de Lisboa, an MBA by INSEAD and a PhD in Economics by MIT. She was Teaching Assistant at Harvard University and Auxiliary Professor at University Nova de Lisboa. Nowadays she is Associate Professor with Aggregation at the Management Department of University of Évora, where she is the Coordinator of the Management PHD Degree Program and Scientific Coordinator of the Centro de Estudos e Formação Avançada em Gestão e Economia (CEFAGE-UE). She has been teaching several curricular units in the areas of Economics, Management and Mathematics. She is the author of two well-known books: Cálculo para Economia e Gestão and Mercados e Investimentos Financeiros. Her research comprises areas such as Industrial Economy, Decision Theory and Game Theory. Besides this, she has also published in several scientific journals such as International Journal of Game Theory, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Annals of Regional Science, Theory and Decision, Journal of Policy Modeling, Journal of Financial Services Research e Quantitative Finance.
